Ordered classic wings, they send boneless, whatever they were closing in 20, and they tasted like shyt, no flavor, the flavor was in the bbq sauce and roasted garlic sauce and those sauces tasted like shyt, the stop and shop bbq sauce is 10 times better and they sell it for a dollar or buy the bucket of bbq sauce at restaurant depot which is better... i tried to remove the breading from the breast, succeeded, but guess what? That breast tasted like shyt, actually nothing, like white rice... $27 for 30 pieces, i threw it out so i won't shit my pants tomorrow.... how do you F up fried food?... just another bunch of retards that buy a franchise and don't know what they're doing and hire more retards that don't give a shit, smh.... you can go on youtube and watch a 3 minute video and make restaurant quality chicken, rookies

Well, the minute my guy said a place that has philly cheesesteaks and wings was opening up near his gym, we were excited. I will say, my expectations were a little higher. I ordered a philly with extra cheddar cheese and there was barely any cheese on it. Need less to say, I was extremely dissappointed. The wings were okay. I am accounting for the fact that this place is new and was quite busy. It could definetely be a great place, but I think they need to work out some issues first.

It's okay. Not my favorite place for wings. IMHO, the wings are a bit small but at least there were free fries if you spend $10 minimum. The coupon is online when you sign up to their "club." The wings are a bit pricey given the size of the wings. My wings are dry inside. Not the best wings. I guess if wings were fast food style...this is how it would taste. The pluses are: there is plenty of parking, they take orders ahead of time on the phone, there is an online menu....and the kid serving me was pretty nice. He almost forgot my fries but was apologetic and got it for me quick. Ask for the fries to be extra crispy because I tend to feel like they are a bit undercooked. Not crispy enough. It is crowded but that is because College Point is very limited in food choices so anything new opens up in the area, people are willing to try. College Point really needs more food choices. I would give the boneless wings a try next time, maybe.

I'll start with the one positive , it's a very clean restaurant. It goes down hill from there. The foods just not very good and over priced . The wings are very small , over cooked and not very tasty at all .. They have tex mex as well . This is also very overpriced avid average at best .. Sorry planet wings

Omg this place really has gone down. COMPLETE ATTITUDE FROM PEOPLE WORKING THERE. I mean life can't be that bad u r working, right? They f-up the order all the time and the beotch-es that work there need to be fired. Sometimes the food is ok but all of the above things brought them down to 1 star. I would've liked to tell the little beotch off but i don't want my food spit in.

Taste: Great! Wings: TINY Delivery: Slow, real slow. And it was only 1 block away.

Update: never ordering from here again. A little late on posting this, but better late then never right? I called early on NYE, around 10am, that I was having a party and wanted to order 100 wings and some nachos and etc. I told the girl who answered the phone if they could be ready by 7pm, and that id be there to pick them up. She assured me of everything and took my order. At 6:30pm, as I was walking out the door to drive over there, I got a phone call from planet wings. I answered and told the girl I was on my way (it was a different girl then the one who I spoke to that morning) and she told me "don't come here, the girl never put your order through and we ran out of wings" ran out of wings?! What?! You're PLANET WINGS. Ok. I asked her if there was some other way they could accommodate me, since it was THEIR mistake, and she said no and hung up on me. I wound up going to hooters who got my order ready in 5 minutes, better wings and better service. I ordered from this place weekly since I work a few blocks away, and you would think they would at least TRY to accommodate their regular customers, or at least be polite. Never again.

The food is good but it takes them always over an hour for them to deliver. If you are going to order from them make sure you call 2 hours in advance. We are in bayside and it should not take over an hour and a half for the food to arrive. Placed the order at 1205 and still waiting.... food finally came at 145 and the salad order was wrong and one order of the hard tacos were all messed up. The manager who did the delivery himself was nice and apologetic, but will never order from here again.

Wow to say this place is shit would be a understatement, wings are the size on a a five year olds pinky and completely over cooked. Friend got boneless wings which was mostly just batter and not much chicken.

You should always be leery of chain restaurants that say they specialize in wings. Yes, I go to Hooter's but that's for football and for the unlimited wings specials; otherwise, Hooter's is terrible. BWW has better wings, but is still average. Maybe I'm spoiled by all of the great bars I've been to, but Planet Wings definitely had the worst wings I have ever had. Maybe it was because I went at 9:15pm that I got stuck with such a poor order of wings. Literally the size of this AA battery on my desk, the wings were slathered in a not so garlic "roasted garlic bbq" sauce and fried into nothingness with a cup of "blue cheese," which was just white, watery, runny goop. And okay, I know working in the fast food industry sucks. The hours are long, and the pay isn't great, but to be browsing your cellphone while sitting at a table is just unprofessional and gives a terrible first impression. And starting the dialogue with "we only have wings left" probably isn't the best idea. Nope, never again. Not this one, not the other ones.

I don't understand how a restaurant could be called planet wings if it has the worst tasting chicken wings ever. I would never eat those things even if they were free. The wings are so small and are mainly bone with little meat. The price is decent and they do offer combo deals but all require you to get their wings! If you did want to buy about 30 wings it would coat about $22 which is way too much for mostly bones wings. Another item that was awful was the Philly cheese. The sandwich had little steak and cheese and was mostly bread. The only two items I would consider ordering from this place would be the gyro or the tacos. When I ordered the tacos I was expecting only one but I got three instead and the meat was pretty tasty. Both are pretty decent if you want to get something quick to eat. .

Should have read the reviews before eating here. Give yourself about 25 Minutes of wait time after you've ordered. Workers have their kids with them behind the counter. Kind of a ghetto vibe going on here. Workers blasting music in the kitchen. Won't be back.

Not bad if you just go in for the wings! Small though very tasty served hot. Im a big wing fan went in around lunchtime and had them with the sweet and spicy sauce ..they were excellent!

Wow...I don't know where to start. First let me say, I hate seeing reviews and low star ratings that are irrelevant or don't really speak to the food or service they are rating. I promise, this is not one of those. Using Grub Hub, I ordered 3 things: Beef Burrito, Jalapeno Poppers, and 20 Hot wings. Delivery directions say which bell to ring, or call me when they arrive. It was quick, simple, easy to order - Yay Grub Hub! That's where it ends....Fail Planet Wings. Delivery: Guy rang wrong bell, disturbed my neighbors and woke their sick baby. He laughed it off - he said "this is the apartment", I mentioned the delivery instructions but he said he never got them. Funny thing is, they were printed on the paper he showed me. Said he'll get it right next time - yeah, probably won't be a next time. Food: The food was stone cold when it got here. The poppers were burnt, and no flavor. I felt like I was eating a mild chili with cheese. The beef burrito was entirely too greasy! I couldn't pick it up without the grease dripping, so I decided to remove the shell and put it in a bowl...OMG! I kid you not when I say it was too greasy - I could (and did) literally squeeze the grease out of the shell, much like wringing out a wet towel...it was disgusting. Filling was just as bad, and zero flavor. My biggest regret however, was not checking the wings right away. They were ordered for a friend, and it wasn't until a couple hours later that I discovered the order of 20 Hot wings was actually 9 mild wings!!! Yeah, doubt very much there will be a next time!

Wings is okay. not a lot to choose from menu, but good enough

  • MND W.

The wings were pretty solid for what they were. The hand cut fries are pretty alright too. Just too much going on w the menu for me to believe I'm getting fresh, high quality food. They have , kids behind the register, spare sad cheesy decor,... and for a place called Planet Wings they could splurge on friggin hand wipes dont you think?

  • Jeff W.

Well I have definitely had better wings, I got the boneless because I was feeling particularly lazy. There's a Planet Wings close by where I live, I've heard good things about it so I figured I wouldn't object. If you're having a craving for wings, this is not bad for a quick fix, but like I said, there are other places. I also got the cheese steak just to try it out. It wasn't all that bad, they put some kind of sauce on their steak while they cooked it, and maybe that's what did it for me.

4 visits - all good experiences. Not much wing places around here, but this hits the spot for me. Perfect size wings, not too big - mutant wings. Natural size and tasty. Cooked the way i want it. Extra crispy and dry. Definitely not two stars.

I know this place is a chain but I really don't think it deserves a two star review.....c'mon people. They are more like a 3.5 star joint. While I have had better wings I will say that this place will do in a pinch. On a recent order the GF and I got two different kinds of their boneless wings. ( Yes I know I should have gotten traditional but I was so hungry I didn't want any pesky bones to get in the way and cause me to potentially choke as I inhaled these wings) The girl on the phone taking our order was nice and answered the two questions I had about flavors. We ended up getting a 10 piece of Cajun flavor ( for me) and a 40 piece of Smokey Mountain BBQ ( for her.........I'M KIDDING.........sweetie.... what are you doing?.......put the baseball bat away......) Ok I've regained consciousness and as I was saying, I got the 10 and we SPLIT a 15 piece smokey mountain BBQ. I was happy with our decision. The Cajun had a nice spice to it and while the BBQ ones were a tad too sweet they were still good. Delivery was fast and the driver was nice and friendly. Like I said earlier this place will do in a pinch and I would not hesitate to order from them again. Now where did I put my ice bag......

This place is a franchise. I don't know why, but the name bothers me. When I think of "planet" I think "out of this world." When I think "wings," I think Friday Happy Hour. Planet Wings is really, neither. I can't judge on the wings because I haven't actually eaten them, BUT, I have smelled them. Wow. The scent is like a luscious chicken-y perfume. It envelops the office and kinda stops you in your tracks. (The place is around the corner from my work.) Tuesday is "Taco Tuesday" and I know from my the Tuesday echo from my bosses office, we should prepare our order, cause we are about to get a delivery from Planet Wings. Yay! Even me, the office loser who always has her lunch, participates in a Planet Wing lunch. The prices are super reasonable. Menu is pretty wide. Salads, tacos, burgers. Pretty awesome fast food grub. I always get the grilled chicken salad. It is chuck-full of warm, deliciously seasoned, chicken right off the grill, fresh lettuce and tomato (olives and no onions.) You get your choice of dressing but I get the generic, oil and vinegar which is a portioned packet of yummy-ness. My lunch is advertised as under 300 calories which makes me quite happy. A great lunch that will tide me over till dinner at home. Better than my measly turkey sandwich from home.

This is a really cheap and convenient place to get some wings. Just leave expectations at the door before you head in here or pick up the phone for delivery because you are going to end up disappointed. The wings taste pretty good but the size of the wings are meh. They have a lot of sauces for your wings. Skip their mozz sticks, they aren't worth it, imo. The food comes out slow. Next time I will try to call ahead and place my order so by the time I get there, I can pick it up and be on my way. Beware of the parking lot.

Chicken wings have to be my all time favorite food to eat, you can expect that I be thorough with my evaluation involving them. One thing to keep in mind is that it is a chain grated toward wings. They are sent to stores to be made en masse. The boneless wings are an okay size until you realize the is s heavy breading, the wings with bones are a decent size, I expected them to not be as soggy as they were on multiple occasions considering they are deep fried. Most of their milder sauces can seem pretty butter heavy but their spicier sauces are where they really shine as their "suicidal" sauce is actualy really good and amongst the spicier I've found amongst the wing chains (I always try the spiciest sauces I can find). Almost all the rest of the items on the menu taste like they came out of a box from the grocery store, especially their tacos. As for deliveries, order at least an hour in advance and be prepared to heat up your food (except the burritos, they stay pretty warm), my advice, order to pick up, your food will be much better and you won't have to hear nagging by hungry family members that the food isn't there yet. As far as being in the store goes, it feels like you're sitting in a 6th grade cafeteria with the red plastic chairs, and rest assured, if you choose to eat in the store you will know what problems the people behind the counter are having and will be fully caught up to their dreams by the time you finish eating. If you are craving wings and don't want to make the trip for something good this is a good place to stop, if you want something else, try to keep in mind it's called planet wings and don't expect much out of the rest of their menu

I have given this place plenty of chances. I've tried eating here about four times, I work in the area and stop by during lunch. Not a very professional staff, they were when they opened when all the owners and managers were there at first. When the lunch rush hits, the store team is running around frantically and with no idea what's going on. The chicken is not bad but I've had better wings. It's Bell and Evans chicken, it's supposed to be good..air chilled! My beef with this place is that it takes them forever to get your food and they get the order wrong every other time. The Philly Cheese Steak is one of the better things on the menu but to get a decent amount of meat you have to order triple meat. The person at the register up sold me into a combo and then looked at me puzzled when I asked for the soft drink cup. The fries here are decent but considering the location, I'd probably just go to Five Guys around the corner for those. The chicken could definitely be better (very dry and overcooked), I don't blame the recipe; I blame the people manning the fryers.

This is the closest wing place college point can get. I think the wings are way small and expensive but if you don't feel like venturing too far then I guess it's worth it. I love the smiley fries. I've also had the quesadilla which I feel is a bigger bang for your buck over the wings. My fiance is a fan of the cheesesteak. I've tried it and it has a sweetness to it but not a huge fan. Overall I feel it's overpriced and you can get better elsewhere.

Went to Planet Wings for the first time today, it opened a few days ago. There are very few places like this around the area. There is a large variety of late night unhealthy but very tasty foods there! They have everything from wings, burgers, tacos, nachos and even philly cheese steak! The food's not bad, but not the best I've ever had. The prices are a tad expensive in my opinion. 5 wings - $4 10 wings - $7 20 wings - $14 However the combo is only an extra $2 for fries and a drink. I tried the boneless and original wings. I thought the boneless chicken wings were just like large chicken nuggets. For the flavors, I got "Jamaican Jerk" and "BBQ Teriyaki." I really liked the Jamaican Jerk if you can handle spicy! :) I also got the nachoes grande, which was pretty good, however it was a bit skimpy on the toppings... what are nachoes w/o these things... :( The place was very crowded, and is also pretty big with plenty of space to sit in. The food is made somewhat quickly, and there is definitely plenty of people behind the counter and in the kitchen to run things! When it comes down to it, I'd definitely go back again!

Three stars because they are pretty satisfying for the area. Quick fix but totally enjoyable wings.

    (3)
  • John K.

Although I liked the sauce, the wings themselves were of the lowest grade and quality. They're small, thin, with very little meat. If you're going to order wings from here, be sure to order at least double what you normally eat, otherwise you'll be left licking your fingers wanting more.

I usually write positive reviews, but this is actually my first bad review. This place is the one of the worst places I've ever been ate from. Planet wings? More like planet crap! The wings are tiny and the portion is definitely not worth the price. The portions are more like appetizers and should be half the price. The boneless wings look like meatballs, and the tacos are very very greasy. There flavors aren't too bad but the portions and prices don't match. I don't know how this business has been able to stay open this long but they need to seriously make some changes soon.

Worst customer service, poor quality wings, and long wait for delivery. Expect a 45-over 1 hour and they still manage to screw up your order. I had coupons in the mail and it states delivery, take out, or dine in. Rude staff said "well it was a error and it doesn't apply to delivery".

    (1)
  • Alyssa F.

Please explain to me how it take almost an hour and a half to deliver food one long block?? We order here while I'm at work during lunch and they take forever!!!

Drove by and saw a dressed up chicken mascot out in front with a grand opening sign. After stopping in, was pleasantly surprised with the diverse menu. The wife and I decided to try a philly cheesesteak, cheeseburger and 5 wings. Overall we were not impressed with anything that we ordered. The cheeseburger was on the bland side almost like it wasn't seasoned at all and the bun was too doughy in proportion to the meat. The cheesesteak was more of the same. Too much bread in the hero compared to the meat. I personally prefer a toasted hero for my cheesesteak but this was not even warmed up at all. Finally on to the wings which we chose oriental sesame. The wings were a little on the small side for us and were a over-fried and dried out. The sauce itself wasn't that tasty but we'd be willing to try some other sauces another time. Parking was convenient out front and there was adequate seating in the well lit dining area. The food wasn't cheap but felt it was priced well for convenience of the diverse menu. Living nearby, I'll give it another shot to see if the food is better and if I can find other wing sauces that I like. Also next time we'll other things on the menu like the nachos and tacos.

  • Latoya G.

Sooooo disappointed. I know they're new but we've all had better. I had the chicken burrito and it was bland. They do not serve guacamole. There was sour cream but even that was pooled at the very bottom of the burrito. Not worth my $7. With all the eateries in this area they could at least offer a lunch special. The seem a bit pricey to me. But doesn't matter at this point because I won't be going back. Lastly, I've seen the wings but haven't tasted them. There a bit on the small side.

  • Quan L.

Ordered $120 worth of wings and small sides for pickup. They weren't good at all. I should've listened to the reviews and avoided this place. The wings were super dry. Had 6 different flavors and the only decent flavor was the hot bbq. The suicidal was a joke...not spicy enough. I've been to other wing chains such as Wingstop and Buffalo Wild Wings, and both of these chains would destroy Planet Wings. The size of the wings wasn't a problem for me as I was looking for more on the quality. The lemon pepper is so different from all the other wing joints. It didn't have any lemon or pepper taste to it at all.....If we weren't in a rush for wings then I totally would've had the group waited for another joint or go order the wings from a nearby pizza joint....

    (1)
  • Mei T.

Went in for a beef nacho supreme. Man, they forgot to put on the salsa and sour cream. Cheap on the cheese too. This was not up to my expectation :( The price was not cheap for an error like this. Strike one

  • Angie H.

Wow, read some reviews and decided to check it out for myself! Talk about small wings! One was the size of my pinky, try the top two sections of my pinky! Laughable they would include such small wing onto my plate. No wonder people are complaining. Are they even chicken wings? Looks more like pigeon wings.

  • Danielle S.

The food is soooo good. Its a bit expensive but its worth it. I've been there a couple times and hands down the Philly Cheesesteak, burger, and the wings are the best I've ever had ! WIngs from dominos, pizza hut and papa johns always taste so under cooked and commercially made, like they've been sitting there for days. Would recommend. rate a 9 out of 10 PROS -The wings at Planet wings are 100% organic from bell & evans! I see a lot of people complaining about there size.. they're small because they're not chocked up on steroids & hormones, all vegetarian diet!!!! - Food is made when ordered....as fresh as it gets! - Pick-up & Delivery ^__^ - When its not too busy, and your'e dining in they bring your food to you - VERY DIVERSE MENU CONS - Long wait to get your food 5-10 minutes and 15-25 minutes when really busy because they make it on the spot -Staff could use some improvement

  • Jessie M.

I ordered a bunch of wings for the superbowl and what a disappointment. Wings are dry and tasteless. Everything else is average. Better to eat there since delivery takes a long time. Not worth it for a place called planet wings.

    Not that good...

  • Tony L.

I went there tonight for dinner and I thought the place would be good, but was I wrong. I ordered the Smokey Mountain BBQ wings and it tasted very bland with no seasoning at all. I could make better wings than Planet Wings. The wings were super small and not worth the price at all. I don't know why they call it Planet Wings when they are serving burgers, burritos, gyros, philly cheesesteak and much more. There are much better places to buy wings, like a lot of the Korean Chicken restaurants which specialized in making wings. Save your money and go somewhere else to eat wings.

This is the definition of the three star "A-Ok" Yelp rating. I actually wish there were six stars because compared to the current four star restaurants I've previously reviewed, this place should be more than a star behind because it is simply a fast food joint. With that said, you have to temper expectations and be realistic. That's why I don't believe the two star "Meh. I've experienced better" rating applies here. Of course I've had better wings, but they cost significantly more as well. If you expect to be dazzled by the chicken, you will be severely disappointed. If you are looking for quick wings on-the-go, this place is not so bad. I'd also like to note that Planet Wings solely uses chicken from Bell and Evans, which has vaulted to the top of my favorite chicken producing and processing companies with Purdue a close second because of their succulent cornish hens.

  • Ken A.

My wife picked up some takeout from this place on the way home from work during its opening week. Boneless wings, and curly fries. The Jamaican jerk flavor was ok from an American bastardization point of view. If you've ever had real jerk, you know what I mean. The problem with the boneless wings is that they're basically cheap chicken nuggets, and about a quarter of them had no meat at all-being pure unadulterated (and rock hard) breading .The fries were undercooked and cold- the cold part was a function of the trip home, but the undercooked-hey-that's on you guys. Not exactly in a rush to give them a second shot, regardless of the convenience factor. Patronize local businesses as opposed to chains, and you're probably better off.

Horrible food.i know this place is new but come on... Nothing has good flavor, nothing has seasoning.. Everything is just doused in sauce. If u want wings go to buffalo wild wings. People that like this place are fat cp people that don't know better.

  • Barry N.

I passed by today and ordered 30 original chicken - hot. I ordered and said no blue cheese, instead can I get one hot sauce. They charged me and extra .50 on top of the $21.99 price tag. The cashier was good but when he handed me the bag it felt light. I got home and opened up the 2 styrofoam boxes with 15 in each. The wings were extremely small. They were coated nicely in hot sauce which did have a little zing. It came with 3 flimsy strips of celery. The wings were tasty but very small. Local bars have better wings!
